SCC: ALL IN. ALL TOGETHER.
Consistency is the foundation of every strong cheer team. Attending all practices, events, and competitions isn’t just about showing up—it’s about showing commitment to your teammates and the goals you share. Each practice builds skills, timing, and trust, while every event and competition is a chance to grow, perform, and represent your team with pride. When every athlete is present and engaged, the team becomes stronger, more unified, and better prepared for success. In cheerleading, every moment counts—and every teammate matters.
Practices for every SCC team will be held 3 times per week.
A typical practice SCHEDULE IS 5:30pm - 7:30pm every MONDAY, TUESDAY AND THURSDAY.
Practices will be centrally located within South Orange County - near Mission Viejo, CA
Times & Locations will vary by team.

ATTENDANCE IS NEVER OptioNAL.
Competitive Cheerleading does not have alternates and practice doesn’t work without everyone present. However… we know that there is life outside of cheerleading, or so we have been told ;). Once your team calendar is set, sometime in June, you will have the opportunity to submit any practice dates that your athlete has a conflict with to SCC. Conflicts on camps, clinics, showcases, the last practice before competition and competition dates will not be accepted and may result in removal from the team. Conflicts with practices the week of competition will not be excused. Athletes will be removed from the team after their 3rd unexcused absence.
CHEERLEADERS MUST ALWAYS BE TEAM FOCUSED.
Great cheer teams are built on a team-first mindset. When athletes focus on working hard for each other—not just themselves—they create a foundation of trust, unity, and shared success. Every stunt hit, every clean routine, and every win comes from individuals giving their all for the good of the group. Putting the team first means supporting teammates, embracing your role, and pushing through challenges together. In the end, it’s that collective effort and selflessness that turns a group of athletes, and their families, into a true winning team. All SCC Athletes and families will be asked to sign and uphold an SCC Code-of-Conduct for the entirety of our season. 3 actions by anyone in the family out of alignment with the SCC code-of-conduct could result in your athlete’s removal from the team.
